... we have been:
- playing in the snow
- creating a snow midget and a mini-pig - both now buried.
- building our biceps through the *thoroughly* exhausting act of sledge-pulling (or maybe we are just weak softies - seriously, I thought I was experiencing cardiac arrest and nearly collapsed in the back garden after just a couple of minutes - oh dear)
- living in a laundry - wet socks, mismatched gloves, soggy socks-used-as-gloves-when-gloves-go-missing and bobble hats all hung up to dry, all over the place.
- lamenting the fact that my phone tells me I have no room to keep the Running Tracker App going - what a shame. And the snow would make attempting to run really tricky. Maybe in the spring...
- hiding out in the utility room, quietly trying to dispose of discounted Christmas chocolate, whilst remaining undetected by small people.
- discovered mid-chew, mouth full, attempting to brush off the inevitable "Mummy, what are you eating?" with a spurious claim that it is Mummy's 'medicine'. I don't think this is a lie.
- enjoying the company of funny, happy and encouraging people
- relieved that the upended chest of drawers did not do any serious damage to small people present at the time (no prizes for guessing which of my children instigated this particular accident)
- wrestling with a very long length of bias binding and winning the fight - only one 2012 Christmas present now left to be made...
- dreaming up all sorts of new making projects to be started once last year's have actually been completed (I think there are possibly 6 on the go still)
- laughing about 'our' frequent use of the 'royal we'
- reading wise words
- losing/winning repeatedly at Scrabble - the word 'trounced' shall not be uttered in my vicinity :(
- thankful for life's small and glorious moments, even when sad things happen

I love the face Hannah is pulling! It's just like the Snowmans!

The same thought struck me before I saw Rebecca's comment. Who put the features in? People's first piece of portrait sculpture usually ends up looking like them ..... so I am told.

I think H shoved the carrot in, poked the eyes and O did the mouth!
